                 San Salvador

      San Salvador es una celebración cual se celebra el 6 de Agosto  en su país de origen El Salvador. Se celebra en las colonias cada ano para honorar el divino salvador del mundo. Para honrarlo le hacen una santa misa y a las 3:00pm se hace una procesión. Después de la procesión miles de feligreses se reúnen en la catedral metropolita de san salvador para comenzar la celebración.

Actividades

       Las actividades que suceden durante la celebración son las ruedas, circos, carnavales, y comida. La típica comidas que se come durante esta celebración son Las Popusas, chilate, nuégados, yuca, y atol de elote.

El significado de la figura del divino salvador se relaciona con la victoria europea cuando los otomanos atacaron a Belgradoen 1456.

                  Premature Burial
 
        In the story the Premature Burial the narrator describes many occasions in which people get buried alive. He describes many times in which people investigate the reasons of death and they find out that the death was caused by suffocation in the coffin. Later in the story the narrator describes a personal experience in which he suffers from a disease called Catalepsy. That disease causes him to go into a really deep sleep or coma. Then it makes it difficult for them to find out what’s wrong with him because it looks like he is literarily dead. The narrator has this fear in which he fears to get buried alive. He thinks that if one day the symptoms were to accure in the street the person who saw him wouldn’t know about it and that person would just burry him. At the end of the story he has a dream in where he dreams that he is buried alive in a coffin and that no one is able to hear him. But as he wakes from the dream he realizes that he has to move on with live and avoid from thinking of the disease. As he avoids the disease, the disease goes away and changes his life.

Essay final

Me personally i would descride South Central as a place i like o live in not only because of what its not but because of everthing it is. Many peopel don’t know that because there not here living how we are . They are many possitive things that happenhere as well as negative things. Sometimes you might see us going thru pretty bad situations but those are somethings that make us stronger. Everything that you see in the media is not always true but many poople believe it and they don’t look at all the achievements that we have made thruout all this time since south central changed.In thins essay i am goign to describe 3 events that i think changed south central completely.

The LA Riots all started in 1992. It was a big impact for South central because many damages accured. These damages lead to many families getting arrested, people getting killed, and the big dissaster that destroyed part of South Central. Many dissasters happened that year one of them was The Beating of Rodney King. The beating of rodney king had a big impact because thats part of what lead to the riots during that time. This was a type of racism act because rodney king was an African American and the officers that beat him where white. Another event that accured was when Larasha Harlins was murrdered on March 26,1991. This encident also accured as a raicism act she was murdered by a Korean store owner.I think this where teh main problems that led to teh La Riots because of the raicism that was going on and people didn’t feel that everything wasn’t fair. So, they tried to do what they could.

Another event was “Gang History”. Gang History was a big impact in south central and it still is so far. Gangs are a very dangerouse event happening in south Cental they all started in the 1940s. They are started with racism as well when blacks and latinos started forming gangs to go against the whites. The whits had two main gangs they were called the “Spook Hunters” and the “Klu Klux Klan”. These two gangs were the main once that the latino’s and blacks were going against. the Latino’s and Blacks also had there gangs they started combining the “Cribs and Bloods” this led to much more trouble. After a while maany gangs started to dissolve there were no longer white gangs. this was also the time of the CIvil Rights. This had a big impact in South Central because its how many poeple are getting killed and how many parts of South Central are tagged up and distroyed.

The final events was the “Crack Epidemic”. The Crack Epidemic all started out in the 1980s. As it started coming in to South Central from Nicaragua. Nicaragua needed money to suppoert there Millitary. The CIA was the once buying cocain from Nicaragua. The US goverment would give them money to buy weapons that they needed. all this led to addictions, many people going homeless, and many people dying. It asslo led to many factories getting close and people lossing there jobs that once thing that messed up South Central some more. As many people started lossing there jobs they started selling cocaine to support there families.

My three events were “LA Riots”,” Gang History”.and “Crack Epidemic”. These three events were big impacts in South Central because they made it was it is today I chose these events because they all reflect on the type of community i live in yeah they all describe negatinve things but a possive thing is that so far i haven’t fallen in none of these negative things happening here today.

As this school year closes i have achieved many thing this year that i am proud of. i have achieved many academic things i have maken my parents proud by recieving awards and trying my best. I also learned alot of things this year i learned how to speak correct spanish, technolgy, and math. Its been a good year because ive gotten thru good and bad things. I’ve also had a chance to determine which peple i want in my life and which people i don’t. So far this year my parents have told me that it’s been a good year that they’ve seen me improve and that they know i can be someone in the future. i think my teachers are proud because i am in there class and some of them know i been trying hard.
